Rainier Athletes is a non-profit that uses sports and mentorship to direct at-risk students toward a path to achievement. Shape the Future is their annual fundraising event, which received a huge creative overhaul in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, developing into a year-long series of virtual events and small gatherings.

Children’s audio capturing device with accompanying digital application. Comforting to hold and touch, the concept and swirling form is inspired by the magic of ocean sounds captured in seashells.

Rechargeable wooden LED flashlight. Magnetic telescopic design expands for diffused lantern lighting. Rounded geometry is striking yet comfortable to hold, and acts as it’s own stand, stable to place on a picnic table at dusk.
Hand built and wired with wood casing, acrylic, magnets, and rechargeable LED circuit.

A 2 week challenge to design a flat-packing light fixture that can be assembled by a user without screws or additional tools. Acrylic hinges, spacers, and an inner suspension structure make this design come to life.
